My documentary American Circumcision won best documentary at the Lone Star Film Festival.
There was an AMAZING response. We had a full house for the screening. People laughed at the right parts, cried deeply at others, and some stood to applaud at the end. People from the festival later told me we got extremely high marks from both the audience and festival judges. An overwhelming positive response.
We met a lot of good people, and had a great experience. I did my best to document the event – by recording the panel I was on, the Q&A after the screening, and as many audience reactions as I could. I’ll share more about the experience in the days to come, but right now I still need to travel home and gather my energy for a screening only one week later in Seattle, Washington at the Social Justice Film Festival on International Mens Day.
