This is not our first award. We previously won Best Documentary at the Lone Star Film Festival.
Does this mean I’m now an award winning social justice activist or social justice filmmaker?
Either way, a huge thanks to the festival and organizers. I’m honored. It’s really good to see the film and this issue alongside other important mainstream causes people know and care about, and have it recognized as an important social justice issue.
